I took a long drive

Through the scenic countryside

Here in the mountains

I viewed the Fall leaves

Bright and beautiful colors

Red, yellow and gold

I stopped by a lake

With clear sparkling water

Ducks swam slowly by

I had a picnic

Out in a lush green meadow

Birds chirped merrily

I spent a grand day

Savoring Autumn’s beauty

That nature provides
