My day at school.

I contemplate the concept of time
as I sit in class checking the clock.

The TICK TICK TICK is tiny;
the talk towers.

When work is done or undone everyone,
mostly, makes up the sum.

Lunch is looming in the near future. Lights,
florescent, float lazily down upon the fixtures.

BEEP BEEP, blares the bell.
Break out into the balmy day.

Yelling, screaming, greeting, converging.
Eyes search, trying to read between the lines.

Thoughts traversing into words.
Sound waves slide & slither.

Rhythmic routine replayed.
Day-to-day psuedo-drama.
