The Sea Against The Land:A Poem.
The waves are crashing down,
It’s the sea against the land.
I walk along the breakers,
My footprints engrave the sand.
As I am walking along the ocean,
The blue and green so far and wide.
I watch the footprint in the sand,
As they vanish with the incoming tide.
Then I think how life’s like the ocean,
For every moment coming in, another one fades.
The further on shore they are pushed,
The longer they are here to stay.
As for the ones who are lucky,
And pushed back out to sea.
Floating along the waters edge,
Maybe one day to return to me.
As I reopen my eyes,
And look at my feet in the sand,
The waves keep crashing down,
Its the sea against the lannd.
