When it comes to spread the cheer… Candy canes and beer. I try to see the reason and end with dancing for the season.

Please try and compromise I say
Give and take relationship
I try to bend myself more
Dutifully falling forward
I stand tall for my children
I, I alone face this demon
He’s chewing my ear off
Is it ok to smack a thought away
Even when it carries roses
Twisted there in mittened hands
Hollow there inside my chest
It used to cradle pumping heart
Now it pumps for mere survival
My roses gather nicely on the floor
I used to hold such promise
I lie and swear I’m fine again
I snap the pieced to fit together
We all need some manipulation
Tied up inside that regretting tunnel
Dark and gloomy path always starlit
You just have to see their faces
I only welcome tiny faces
Innocence is rare these days
I enjoy it for what it is
My last kiss was long ago
I can’t remember my first time
Compromise to be in reason
Merry Christmas is the season
Forward is the only way to breath
Truth is blue and sunny skies
Days of many twisted hurting lies
I am my own worst demon
Merry Christmas is this season
