Sometimes fate plays a wicked hand of poker,

never gives you a chance to win it all back.

Such is the same with a broken romance,

fate doesn’t always give you a second try.

its beautiful to look at if you are careful.

But if the guardrail is not sturdy or strong,

you could easily fall to your early demise.

A lake so beautiful you could be swimming,

cooling  your self on a hot August afternoon.

But the tides could catch you unexpectedly,

taking you to the forever to the world of Enki.

Walk down the church isle as a blushing bride,

think your life with your husband is complete.

But a short five years later the dream is over,

what happened to the death do us part promise?

You have worked over thirty  years at the factory,

think that your retirement will be funded very well.

But you are laid off a few months shy of the deadline,

you have to work part time again to make ends meet.

You can fall in love with the love of your life one day,

think that your wedding day will seal the deal forever.

But your wedding day never comes as you once thought,

you and him eventually will walk your own separate path.

Sometimes fate lets you occasionally win a hand of poker,

you get a rare chance to have a second chance  again.
