A dark elf lady druid sends a romantic poem to her beloved who is far away on a quest.

Wherefore art thou, Priest of Hate?
Night so dark and very late.
Art thou safe from harm and pain?
Seek me out, Defiler Bane.
Keep me close in heart and thought.
Be thou safe from battles fought.
Hurry home for here I wait
Patiently, my dear life mate.
Endless duty, wars and quests
Often gives us many tests,
Parting us for days and weeks.
Strong and true, my heart still beats.
Tarry not, I do so pray.
Passion grows each passing day.
In thy arms, I long to be,
Sharing kisses hungrily.
Fearless Teir’dal, savage beast,
Ardent lover, faithful priest.
Be mine now and evermore
For tis thee who I adore.

Beautiful poem. I love the thee’s and thou’s. It makes it more authentic. Great work. I want to read more.

This has an Old English flair to it and a medievil feel as well. The flow is natural and smooth and the words inspire the missing and longing of the subject. Again, you write beautifully. Michael
