Seen

By: Blake Barrett

Do you know the things I see?

That fill me with great mystery,

They make me smile happily,

The sight of grass ever-so green,

Or rides at theme parks with on-going screams,

How about the sun, so unforgiving?

The view of the ocean sparkling clear,

Wet sand on the beach you can hear,

Or boring school needing a cheer,

One’s clock on the wall, ticking away,

Or colors, sweet colors, I can stare at all day,

The greenness of great big palm trees, okay?

A brown horse with a flee,

Or people like you and me,

These are some things I like to see.
