When one meets the devil.

Image via Wikipedia

He would come very soon,

first as a shadow in the darkness,

his profile illuminated by the moon,

he brought on spine-tingling fear,

to everyone who would come near,

horror ran through him like current,

dressed in dark clothing,

he stood in the shadows,

and he would never fail,

as death is described in chilling detail,

fear and haunting would meet,

like old friends they would greet,

he was invisible from the street,

which made him dynamic,

and anyone who meets him

would be seized by panic.

The ‘ole grim reeper…kinda reminds me of an old Boris Karloff flic or even Bella Lugosi in those dracula movies…really cool read, great imagery…you can actually see and feel him coming…I hope not very soon…always enjoy the dark poems…it conjures the demons man…good poem frank.
