A teens perspective of oneself, self incarceration, self esteem.

Froom inside my prison

I watch people doing as they please

From inside my prison

I listen to people saying what they want

I feel so trapped

If only i could experience freedom

Freedom to do and be

just like everybody else

I’ve been in prison since childhood

never being able to escape

I feel saddened to be so trapped

not having what it takes to escape

I will just remain here until life’s end

my prison has no concrete

my prison has no metal bars

my prison has no warden or guards

my prison has no other inmates

what my prison has

is a soul with no self confidence.

A soul with no confidence is indeed confined in a prison.
Just like my poem ‘tired of runnin’.
    A good work there.
