Let’s dance! I remember Likha making something like this one too!

Everybody’s acting greedy
Everybody’s being looney
I stumble you, you stumble me.
Is it all about the money?
You want gold, you need to Digg
And the viewers will be big
You want hits then let’s Twitter
Skill is not the matter.
Hast thou in writing learned?
The views tells me I is sure
Are you even well handed?
500 hits on my stick figure

I never thought this site was about the money!! :) not at .01 cent a day.LOL

  • Likha on Jan 28, 2009

Sayawan nalang tayo para masaya! Seriously, matindi na nga talaga ang global recession. Kahit mga Kano at Briton, nakikipag-agawan sa konting barya. Microcosm nga ng real world out there. Anyway, I like your idea. Hope it will work. That will be a test of the Pinoy team spirit.

Hit the bullseye, Majic! This one is a 50 foot halfcourt shot that you made..nothing but net!

  • Lauren Axelrod on Jan 28, 2009

I agree with you to a point and I’ll tell you why. You have to write for the masses and when you do that, you’ll hit it big. Right now we are not in an environment where you can write what you want to, you have to write what people want to read.

When it comes down to it, and you get to the point when you have been writing for months and you’ve made like a $1.00. You may need to curve your style.

For me, I love the friends here and the support. I can come to people for anything, personal or business.

thanks for the comments guys! I wouldn’t mind a downright nasty comment if ever someone wants a go! Remember it was all written in the name of fun and laughter! You all have a beautiful day!

This is good but I have to say that this is the only site I post to… It just feels right to me.

  • Michael Stonecipher on Jan 31, 2009

Tell it like it is, Brother. My grand total is 25 whole and entire cents after a month. I feel like I’m selling out. How does this stumble thing work? I don’t know how much I can bend my old-school style. They don’t call me Mike Stone for nothing.

So you’re an artist! I used to work as a lay-out artist at Philcartoons way back 1997 The Bob and Margaret show in the U.S. Charcoal painting specially the portrait. I tried water color a long time ago. But I’m a bit rusty now.Do you know Nestor Malgapo and Loenard Malgapo? They were my co-artist in the comics Pinoy Classic,Aliwan and Happy. Vincent Kua inspired me the most to try comics illustration.

I’ll stick with Triond readers for now. I’m in a happy place as it is, when and if I get better , then I’ll share my work with the rest.

  • Sandra Tapia on Mar 19, 2009

I don’t have time to make enough friends to get the hits! I gotta say it\’s getting pretty close to finding some kind of refuge in this Triond thing. Summer work is very scarce these days!!!! You caught my attention. Nice job!

  • Jacqueline Nicole on Mar 21, 2009

The poem has a nice rhythm to it.

For some people it might be about the money but for others it may not be for the money.

  • Adam Henry Sears on Mar 22, 2009

I like this one a lot, Majic, it’s got the bone and the marrow of the issue sticking out like a stick figure! :) I don’t really care about the money, I do it for the love of it. But as you so pointedly say it: we all seem to be sacrificing our artistic value for a few cents. I think the problem goes a little deeper than that though. Writing online like this takes so much energy and time that could be put to better use honing our talents. I have responded to at least 1500 poems and articles since I joined in Dec. 2008, but I have only been able to write a couple dozen articles and poems of my own since that time.

  • Deep Blue on Jul 11, 2009

Like this kabayan. You seemed preoccupied with something else lately.

  • RS Wing on Jul 13, 2009
