Time is too valuable, to be wasted on the ridiculous and the absurd.

Way down deep inside,

There is a longing,

For some sensibility,

To take hold and reign.

So that people would realize,

That they wound themselves,

By indulging in nonsense,

Insanity and blatant fiction.

To waste precious time,

On non-reality based fantasy.

That entraps the very mind.

Break free, rise and breathe.

Life is so too short,

For such bizarre tales which,

Are made up from whole cloth.

Recapture sanity from,

The awful jaws, of morbid rust.

Without fiction we would be slaves to our as you say “:reality”. I agree that fiction shouldn’t take precedence over reality especially if fiction takes on a pseudoistic reality.

Balance, but like the arts have a place in schools, so does fiction a place in reality. Fiction as a means of escape makes reality at times more palatable.
