A twisted turn of events leaves opposites attracting however they remain incompatible and sadness ensues.

Serenade to Mother Nature

Grief flows through my veins as my blood boils away. I am personified by hatred and characterized with embers, only meant to destroy. The willow trees smolder with a simple touch. Scalding tears of magma begin to fall for this is not the life meant for me. As the tears flow like a burning death across the land a goddess approached, the mother of all living things. The forests sprung up neath her feet. I felt something inside that I had been missing all along; life. I called out to her on a whim, to mend my wretched heart and give me a new life. She looked upon me not with hatred, but love. Even as she began to wilt in my presence, never would her face turn from mine. Alas now I embrace her so tightly I am slowly sapping the very life that drew me close. Sweet Mother Nature I find myself infatuated with your very being, however I can only see you weaken as my flames engulf you. I pray you not to question my actions as I flee to the ocean. As I jumped off the cliff and became engulfed in the water I could finally feel my heart beat. The flames died and I turned to ash, yet it was the only way I could become one with my beloved without destroying her. I now embrace you sweet goddess through the beds of flowers you give so much life. My love for you will forever grow.

You seem to aptly describe the scenario, though love ensues; incompatibility gets into the midst.
