About thinking someone is a friend, until they just sit back and watch the fire consume you.

You’ve stood outside the shadows,
Just watching as I burned
Let me tell you something,
It’s bound to be your turn

The flames, they just grew higher
As the sun set on a cold, bitter night
The fire blazed for hours,
It just would not give up the fight

You just stood there watching,
Not offering a helping hand
I came out with many degrees of burns
and you were never a friend

I was screaming out for your help
I screamed your name so loud
but you could not here me
I hope this makes you happy,

I hope that you are proud

First let me say I am so glad to see you still writing and I love what you’ve done with your triond page and new picture :]

This was a hard piece of work I take it for you to write, friends you have to be careful of because most of them will stab you in the back and watch you bleed.

Gosh! This is a very powerful and passionate poem. It should help you get all the anger out of your system.

Excellent and a well expressed emotional piece. First, I want to say that that is certainly no friend. A friend is suppose to be there when you need them, whether it’s to stop you from doing something stupid or to comfort you when needed. I can certainly understand your anger.

    God bless and great piece!

I liked how you wrote this….I’ve had a frenemy like this a time or two myself. It is an awful feeling when you finally realize what they really are.
