A powerful force she reckons to be
but a controller of sorts makes her she.
To tell a tale of her unwanted youth
is to struggle a smile of an unsightly truth.
A calm veneer is what wants to be shown
but hidden inside is that little girl unknown
as all things are said with words of spite.
Pray … bring this child to her inner light.

totally certain that the issues will stay -
haunting her dreams like a lover’s delight
as she spins her web of poisonous sprite.
Why can’t she see this is all good for her,
this family of love that labor deters?

It is her child that beckons to resolve
the inner struggle that seems never to dissolve.

It is okay to want a better life
