A vow of friendship.

Settle on my shoulders,

Your burdens from the past,

Let me free your worries,

like a flag flown from a mast.

Want and worry no longer,

For I am ever near,

Call me friend for life,

I feel your pain and fear.

~~~~~

Take heed of my word,

For it is as true as day,

I will be there for you,

In step along the way.

~~~~~

The night may be dark,

As we stumble along,

Hold onto my friendship,

It is true and strong.

~~~~~

If I ever fail you,

Judge not a weakened friend,

Know that I will be there for you,

Until death’s hands descend.

~~~~~
