A bluebell wood can bring so much pleasure and not just for today.

Shades Of Blue To Treasure

I’m an Island in oceans of bluebells

With sunlit dappled pools

And I watch buzzing bees with pollen swells,

I sit in shade that cools.

Towering, tall and slim trees look stately

With breeze fingered branches,

The seas of flowers are drying lately

Where the sunlight blanches.

The gently waving swathes that bless my eyes,

Beauty beyond measure

Shades of blue ’neath hovering butterflies,

My memory’s treasure.
