This poem is one I wrote about forbidden love and the pain it causes. I go on to describe that the love and pain is with you like a shadow, even in your dreams while you sleep.

With borrowed wings on clouds elite,

love in the shadows and bittersweet.

Sleep is the anchor for vivid dreams,

with mindful treasures and crystal streams.

Words of a whisper said in vain,

while tempoed beat proves the pain.

Love yearns for outward acceptance purging that which prohibits the will

haulting the desire to remain ever still.

For – to wit, despair is on the edge of love-lorn.

Thus, fades all beauty - ergo to mourn.

Yet, promises of a journey to last the ages,

can be permanent as ink on history’s pages.

Together in twilight may we retreat.

To shadow dreams without defeat.

The pain and memories enchant and haunt at the same time. Tried looking you up on FB by the way, but too many Dame Bs to narrow you down. A wonderful display of words as usual.
