A poem describing an example of how people sometimes hide their pain inside while showing the world outside that they are simply fine.

Do see me laugh

You think I’m fine.

It’s funny you see?

I’m hiding the line.

Behind his smile

Is a broken heart

It wants to be mended

Because its apart

My life has been shattered

Smashed just too soon

It seems like I’m lifeless

I live no good tune

I’m walking my steps

Trying the most

Pain is the evil

And I am its host.

I smile for you

Not ever for me

So you won’t ever think

What I really do see

I see my pain,

Its sting that I feel

The mirror shows me

I can’t choose to heal
