Shadows Creeping Into the Ceiling
Shadows creeping along the open doors
growing larger turning blacker
until they disappear into the closet.
Shadows growing until they creep
at the base of the window sill
then disappear into the ceiling.
Open doors creep blacker
when the ceiling closet
becomes the gateway
to nightmares that disappear
into blackness
leaving behind
daylight.
