Mature love sharing responsibilities.

I remember coming home one day

Exhausted from the work I do

And you saw in me my tiredness

So you just packed me off to bed

You took care of all the family chores

The ones I usually do

Then you fed the kids and you bathed them

All asleep now after bedtime stories had been read

These are not small things that you have done

Your day had been longer than my own

But it is small sacrifices such as these

That help a loving family grow

And these things are one reason that I love you

No questions asked, no hesitation

I would do the same for you, of course

But you just simply loved me, for that I love you too
