Too busy with one’s own world to take much notice in a valuable friend, and badly wanting to redeem oneself for ignoring someone who shares my fate.
Correcting this existence,
Realizing the rulebook has been cooked,
The amortization of accountability has come up a tad thin,
Actions, if not iniquitous, unquestionably very foul
As much as I’ve enjoyed taking a literary ride,
My eyes get wet thinking of the vulnerability of a friend,
One who is uneasily influenced by the temperature or the air stream,
Who waits ever so patiently at the train station
Rarely querulous, yet consistently forthright,
Sharing in my kismet
