I do not stand as a creation of the world and its pain, I stand proud, a child of God.
Dear reader, I want you to keep in mind with this piece that I am describing an emotional experience and I ask you to read this piece to the end before passing judgment on my words. God bless!
Sharpen the Blade
Take it!
Come on, one more cut, why don’t you sharpen your blade a bit the rust seem to tear at my skin and it stops the blade from going deep enough.
That seems to work, a new blade always cuts the deepest and it leaves nice scars.
O, now you have the right spot, go for the heart.
Come on, keep going, you are through the skin, no point in stopping now.
There you go, now get something to break my ribs with; yes I think that will do nicely.
Now that you have shattered my ribs put your hand in there and tear it out.
I know you want to, no point in fighting it.
Now doesn’t that feel nice?
Nice warm wet flesh between you fingers with that warm blood running down your arm.
Where are you going, we are not done yet.
You still have to slash it to pieces and shove it back in my chest.
Who do you think you are?!
Your every word cut into my flesh, ever action forces your blade deeper.
What have I ever done to you?!
I do not deserve your judgment crushing my ribs and your betrayal tearing out my heart.
Why did you ever say that you love me…?
Your broken trust, your hate and your lies slashes my heart to pieces. Why?
You have made me who I am and now I will tell you who that person has become;
I am not the person who stands in your shadow;
I am the person who stands in God’s light.
I am not the one who crouches in pain before you;
I am the one who bows before my Lord’s glory.
I am not standing in a pool of my own blood;
I am washed clean with the blood of the Son.
I am not held back by your judgments;
I am guided forward by the loving hands of my God.
I do not stand as a creation of the world and its pain;
I stand proud, a child of God.
