Shattered dreams- this is what we now live

from the past we have had

and the pain that we give

Society just wont acknowledge

the good that we have done

for now we seem to be drowning

our lives seem to be fading from the sun

we are trying just to make it

and pick up the pieces of our past

and somehow we keep believing

that our lives here will last

our lives here are special

though many people just will not see

still we fight to endure

for we know this was meant to be

at night we toss and tumble

from the nightmares we do scream

and from the roads that we have taken

we now live these “Shattered Dreams”
