A poem about loosing someone you love and how you find the broken pieces of yourself.
Shattered me
I’m living in darkness, without seeing the light for years;
Tears fell like heavy raindrops without having a shoulder to lean
I’m grasping for freedom, like a fish on the ground grasping for air
It’s been a heavy burden, I want to break free and sprint
I’m afraid I might not see you back; don’t want to loose your face
I’m shattered like broken glass, I can’t stand the pain
It cuts me inside and it makes me insane
My mind keeps on telling me to forget all in you
But my heart tells me not but rather reminisce you
Memories start to fade with the sweep of the time
But I swear I’ll never forget you till the sunrise comes
If this darkness within me will be filled with light,
I’ll set on a mission to bring you back again; but if I fail I’ll promise you
I’ll never be broken again; I will find a way to glue myself,
Back together once again
