The sun gives not the light I see by.

I have not yet heard a sound from her sweet lips today
Nor have I seen that lovely smile upon her face
I have not so much as touched her soft hand
Nor smelled the aroma of her silken hair

This day has not yet begun for me
The sun that rose gives not the light I see by
The food I have taken does not nourish me
And the air I breath does not satisfy my need

But now I hear her voice approaching
In a moment she will arrive to say hello
Her light, her charm, her very breath
Will engulf my body and revitalize my soul
