Dissolving away in the mist, she says goodbye and bids the world farewell.
She says goodbye, in a whisper
Hush, dear one, forget the picture
Reality is nothing but a dream
Blazing fire is now a slight gleam
Her fingertips touch the edge of the mirror
She thinks with pain, what of after?
Parting from her soul and mind
The view from here she sees is blind
The loss stretches on for miles
Does she ever so softly smile
In that way of hers, as if bidding farewell
Her elegant innocence casting a spell
She says goodbye, lulling the world to sleep
Wake up to another day, with memories buried deep beneath
Bid life farewell and enter the dream
To wake up in a river, flowing away, downstream…
