She Touched His Garment

When the woman came and touched Him,

It was with implicit trust.

She knew she had tried all others,

And now to touch Jesus she must!

It was a touch most tangible,

A touch that they both could feel.

And when you get a hold of his garment,

You won’t have to be told that it’s real!

It was a touch tenacious,

So stubborn she knew she must cling,

And bring all of her ancient problem,

She knew to the Lord she must bring!

It was a touch transforming,

Her life it completely changed.

When she touched the hem of the garment

That on him so freely hanged!

It was a touch so timely.

That instant, immediate cure.

When she came and touched his garment,

She knew her healing was sure!

You too may thus have her healing,

By a simple, trusting touch.

You, to whom much is forgiven,

Shall come to love Him much!

And have such a touch transforming,

As only God’s Spirit can bring.

As you realize your need of Him,

And to so tenaciously cling!
