Date Written, Unsure.
She sits in his room all by herself
Waiting to spend time with Cruz
There was a guy with her, but not him
It gave her heart a bruise
She waited for his time with her
She waited patiently
She thought he took advantage of her
Why couldn’t she see?
Fourteen hours is pretty patient
She finally rested her head
A few minutes later he came in to her
Talked ten minutes, then went to bed.
It broke her heart and shattered her soul
She sang a depressing song
She made it up as she sang
And called it “she waited for him too long”
She sang the song to herself all night
Until she went to bed
She couldn’t handle sleeping next to him
It put nightmares in her head
The next day wasn’t all that great
He couldn’t come close at all
He wanted to spend time with her
But she’d rather talk to the wall
He asked her why she was being like that
She reminded him of last night
That made him feel pretty bad
And it caused a little fight
Fighting isn’t what she wanted
She wanted to be alone
Home is where she walked herself
But then he called her phone.
Her mom was going to take her back
To his place when she got home
She tried to make her mom understand
She just wanted to be alone.
But her mom didn’t get the message
And back to his house she went
Her heart aching badly
Her mind nearly spent
They talked that night and worked things out
It got much better from there
He decided to divide his time
So everyone gets a fair share
Her words she wrote, she sang to him
But went back and edited her song
She made it happy and things worked out
Called it, “She’ll never wait for him too long.”
