Poetry.

I shed a tear for my people locked down and don’t know it
Trapped behind the invisible barbed wire
Looking out upon the landscape
With no escape
Easy to see why people hate
Enprisoned and a making license plates
For people who drive them to the big house in the first place
I shed a tear
For the people who ain’t even here
The people who’ve been long gone
The ones who you still figure out their age every year
Every one gets one tear
I also give ear
To my people who don’t see clear
Vision impaired
Seeing only one way to be
In actuality
They have many a possibility
More choices then they think
But they are on the brink
Of hazardous behavior
Because the worlds a tad short on labor
So they’ll do anything it takes to make the paper
Only thinking about now
Because they don’t know if it will be a later
I shed a tear
For my people locked in a struggle
With one another
A never ending circle
That loops around
Further and further down
A way back up rarely ever found
Because that’s what their used to
That’s how it is around town
I shed a tear
For man in general
Directing their own steps has been a failure; dismal
What we go on is the words of the politicians and government officials
Signing away our souls to them with a signature and an initial
They paint pretty visuals
To keep you hopeful in them is intentional
Even when they chronically under deliver
You still have the beautifully worded false picture
Prevented from fixing your light fixtures
So your in the dark on most things and their structures
Inaccurate speakers
Followed by inaccurate listeners
I shed a tear for you all
But tears don’t save lives
So make your 911 call
Tell them to send wisdom to open your eyes
