People are not with handicaps, but are only one of us with only limits places on them in society’s eye.
She’s so Misunderstood
She sits in her chair, but she’s always aware,
although she wants no sympathy for pain hardly bare,
No special privileges, and no special care,
She just wants to live her life without the despair.
She is surrounded by loved ones, all well and all good
She fends for herself,
she’s so misunderstood
She wants not anything just love, and some hope
that someday soon, she will be able to cope
she manages so well in her own living hell
maybe some day the Doctors can cast a good spell.
Treated like others is all well and good
but no sympathy she needs,
she’s so misunderstood.
Independent and strong, she asks of herself,
doesn’t want to get dusty,
like a book on a shelf.
“Look at me, I am me, I am here can’t you see?,
Despite all the things that are wrong you can see.”
She demands no special treatment,
there’s not many who would
but she is something special
she’s so misunderstood.
So when you meet her,
be proud of her so,
She is just a person, not a sideshow.
So now you know,
be yourself if you could
She would never judge you,
She’s just misunderstood.
She loves, she desires, she hates, she aspires
She makes sense of it all, while we are born to point
We are the judge more than anyone else would
open your eyes
she is so misunderstood
