The sounds of the sea – oh, what joy!

SHORELINE OPUS
The surf it was a-pounding today,
Like stacatto drums involved in play,
As loud as schoolchildren at recess,
The sounds, a symphony, I must confess,
Others enjoyed the ocean elsewhere,
On sandy beaches they would all share,
I preferred the beach alone,
So listened here midst rock and stone,
Alone, enjoying the tidal anthem,
The ocean’s orchestra ever gem,
The sound, a surge of symphonic bliss,
I enjoyed it along with the ocean’s kiss.
