How many times have you seen a person that sets your blood on fire from just a single look at them? How many times have you wanted to approach that someone and you realize you just don’t have the courage to do it?
I’ve been watching you from afar,
Carefully, to avoid being noticed,
Till the exact moment I built up the nerve.
To look you in those penetrating eyes,
And confess to you,
That you have been more,
Than just a notion to me.
It’s so scary,
Because I think,
That once I meet your gaze,
You will see into my soul,
And know exactly how much,
I have hungered for you all these weeks.
You will see those,
Romantic flights of fantasy,
Of you and me walking hand in hand,
On moonlit beaches,
Searching for the perfect place,
To settle down,
And make love to each other,
For hours on end.
The fear just chokes me up,
Till the point I vow,
That I will stop this foolish nonsense,
Of coming down to this spot
Every single day
Just to capture a moment of bliss,
When my eyes lock on you,
And you are wearing
That sexy dress,
That accentuates your curves,
And makes my blood boil
Everytime you walk away.
But these foolish vows,
Are just empty words,
Because It would be a travesty,
To die in this world,
Without ever even
Knowing your name.
So I take a few steps toward you,
And the fear creeps up inside of me,
Making me pause
For just a single moment,
And in that moment I realize
Today just isn’t the day.
To make my wildest dreams
Come true.
