A funny poem I found in a poem book called “There”s an Awful lot of Wierdos in Our Neighborhood.’

For those of you that don’t have the book ‘There’s an Awful lot of Weirdos in Our Neighborhood,’ I suggest you get it soon. It is full of funny short poems, and you can definitely get a laugh out of it. It may be a second grade book, but it is a really funny one nevertheless. Anyway, here’s this poem from it called Sick of Being Pushed Around? It’s a very short poem and comes along with a funny picture. It is a picture of a skinny man lifting big weights, his arms are full of muscle and look great. On the other hand, his legs are as skinny as heck, and they look like a skinny child who hasn’t gotten food. You’ll find out why when the poem comes. Here it is-

SICK OF BEING PUSHED AROUND?

Sick of being pushed around,

I sent away for a course I’d found

In a Batman comic Gran left around.

It promised to make me musclebound.

I must say I quite like the sound

Of a powerful body

That would astound!

They sent part one, my arms look great!

Part two is ‘Legs’, I just can’t wait!
