Even a sick day can inspire a poet.

Response to Daniel Crompton’s Triangular Sequence Poetry Challenge
3 verses, three lines each using the following syllabic sequence -
1, 3, 6
10, 15, 21
6, 3, 1
http://authspot.com/poetry/poetry-competition-triangular-sequence/

Sniff
sniff, sniffle
sneezing, post nasal drip.

Teary, bleary, watery, itchy eyes.
Cough, chills, fever, chapped lips, dog tired, weak, whimper, whine, complain.
Cold remedies, fluids, Vitamin C, Kleenex, Puffs, Scotties Little Softie, hot toddy

Plugged ears crackle, pop
A . . . a . . . choo!
Sniff.

Thanks to Sheila Newton for calling this challenge to my attention, working on this little poem helped me deal with an ornery cold.

Oh, and that is a real Scotties Little Softie that I have had for years and years and years.

Well done you. What a great ‘triangular sequence’ this is. And it’s such good fun, isn’t it? It’s lovely to have you back at Triond. I missed you while you were gone.
