Depending on how you look at it, silence can be good or bad.

Silence can be deafening

Sitting all alone

Silence can be peaceful

Shutting out the tone

The hurries and rush

Of the world today

Sometimes it’s good

To make those sounds go away

Sitting alone in a room

With no one around

You can’t hear a thing

You can’t hear a sound

Does it feel good?

Does it feel wrong?

It’s nice for a while

But not all day long

When silence is all you hear

You miss those daily sounds

Of the world rushing

And swirling around

mm the deafening effect of silence is a strange one – but it can really bizarrely make your ears ring at times!

Silence can be alarmingly loud, when lasting too long. Beautiful poem :)

Inspiring poem and beautifully written. Silence can mean a moment of peace, but also a moment of war. When too silent, it can make people wonder whether one’s existence is real or not. Great share.

    Thanks everyone!
Silence can be deafening and it can be golden.
