Limericks or the Attempt thereof.

There once was a man from Wyoming

who wandered off into the gloamng

as the sun fell, he dropped in a well

and that was the end of his roaming.

A mouse ran through my bedroom

and was followed by the cat

he cut in under the dresser

but alas, the cat was too fat

she struggled in search of her quarry

trying to reach the poor guy

with a swat she missed him by inches

so she settled right down with a sigh

she waited for hours to get him

never knowing he’d slipped out the rear

the moral my dear of this story

is keep an eye on things you hold dear.

A good lesson. We never know the real value of something until we lose it.
