A poem of similes.

Like magnets

First attract,

Then repel.

Like the wind

Once warm,

Now harsh and cold.

Like fire

A raging flame,

Now just ashes.

Like water

Once a rapid,

Now a pond.

Like a fallen oak

Once strong,

Now hollow.

Like a simile

At first a good idea,

Now just old…

You do have a way with words. . Opposite concepts … like a balancing act, well sort of. I love this poem!

i agree with all of them, you just don’t run out of words… today similes, can we expect metaphors tomorrow? lol

Gaily written piece. I will recind my #1 desire for rhyme since you compose this tempo well too.
