Ever since the beginning,
that first incredible hour,
the Earth has been a witness
to God’s omnipresent power.
From the first day of Adam
to this day, to all alive,
this Earth has testified of God
that man’s soul may survive.
It has been a living witness
to God Almighty’s power
and yet we choose to live
in sin and doubt
while He on us blessings shower
as we try to fix all that seems wrong
while we approach that final hour.
Yet we would worry a lot less
and find life of priceless worth
if we’d harken to the witness
testified to us on Earth.

It is written in the seasons,
written in the heavens above,
the wonder of His mightiness,
the wonder of His love.
It’s seen in the eyes of children
and it is whispered on the breeze,
seen in the hearts of folks grown old,
His great love for you and me.
It’s in the song of the sparrow,
seen in the lilies of the fields,
we’ve no fear of the morrow
when to His power we yield,
to His grace, His love, His mercy
as He lights our way,
we’d not suffer quite so badly
if we lived in Him each day.
For God so very much loves us,
since time first began,
He sent the Lord to show the way,
His oh so precious, only Son
begotten both of God and man,
He left Heaven and He came
into this world we’re living in
to be the Light, the Truth, our way
out of darkness, out of sin.

Since the very beginning,
since He said, “Let there be Light”,
this Earth has been a witness
to His love and to His might.
God sent His Son into the world
that through Him we might be saved,
that by His grace and mercy
we may live with Him one day.
His love is all around us.
His majesty is clear.
He has His loving arms around me
every moment I am here.
Despite our grumblings and doubts,
He is always near,
reaching out to help and guide us
if we will listen, we will hear.

He will lead me as I follow.
To grow, life needs both sunshine and rain
and the Son will shine
through life’s darkest clouds
’til I am Home again
surrounded by green pastures,
my soul He’ll safely keep…
And I find life is much sweeter
each day when I wake from sleep
and begin each day with Jesus
instead of whine and cry.
He provides my every need
just as the Earth has testified.
Just as His eye is on the sparrow
we too on Him can rely.
We’ve no need to be disheartened
once to Him our life we give.
When we just pay attention
He will show us how to live.
Since the very beginning
He has been our living light.
In Him there is no darkness
and everything will be all right
when we heed His teachings,
cling to His every word.
Life is filled with blessings
when we’re following the Lord.
