Poem about finding a new approach to relationships, to love, tongue in cheek..

when you say “i have no time for you”

i’ll say with a pout “do what you need to do”

when you act like you dont want me around

ill disappear for a few days until my fun is found

when you feel lonely and bored, calling me

i’ll tell you i cant and i’m busy

when you tell me in your heart im not the boss

i’ll know it’s not mine, but your loss

when you need a friend to listen

i’ll be here on my time then

when life is hard and you don’t understand

i’ll make you laugh and take ur hand

but only until i get what i want

then for a while when you need me i’ll be gone

when you take me out for a night

i’ll diss you, make you want to fight

when you open up to me

i’ll take advantage of you easily

i’ll take you for granted when you give in to me

and always look sophisticated sexy

ill make you pine and suffer for me

ill keep your mission on the back burner to me

you’ll always have to pay for me

while ill never work and always be after more money

i’ll put up a delicious front

though words will always be blunt

everything will be more important than you

i’ll feign interest in what you love to do

i’ll sass you all day everyday

i’ll fight you every step of the way

ill be jealous when you look at other women

and we’ll quarrel for you wanting them

you’ll never know what im thinking

and i’ll leave you wishing and wanting

maybe then you’ll love me like you love her

maybe then you’ll want me like you do her

when you figure out what you really want

let me know so i can start the front

but by the time you decide you want me

i’ll be on to the next one happily

and you’ll be left to wonder what you did wrong

if that’s your idea of the best love i dont belong….
