A poem that "wets" the appetite.
Siphon and Straw
The siphon is a wondrous device,
It can empty a fish-tank in a thrice.
It’s only a pipe with two open ends,
A bend in the centre – it’s one of your friends.
Its cousin the straw points north and south,
Sucking up fluid from glass to mouth.
It’s stored in a box with many pals,
Found easy to use by guys and gals.
This tubular family, a joy in your life,
Brings pleasure to many in times of strife.
When drought and hot sun blight the summer days,
Both quench many souls in various ways!
