The consequence of greed.
The skin peels away right before your eyes
Inner decay, the flesh simply falls away
This is the price you pay for all your lies
Bones exposed tell the truth for all to see
A human being you ceased to be
Bag of bones, you’re a skeleton soldier defending a lost cause
Greater men than you have thought to pause
Corrupt fingernails fall off your fingertips
Mangy knotted hair falls off with tears and rips
Once a decent person, you sold your soul
The accumulation of wealth was your only goal
Now look at you, pitiful creature
Your empty animated corpse is your only feature
The brain dissolves into a formless puddle of matter
Feeding of your carcass the vulture’s grow fatter
Marching forth with your wicked cross held on high
In vain you search for the proof of your long held lie
Corrupt skeleton, you worshipper of a non-existent deity
Holding fast to your long since decayed fealty
Bit by bit your flesh falls of your gaunt frame
You confused your faith with shame
Muscles begin to fail your command
You’re a skeleton soldier defending the lost cause of man
On the outside you appear to be real
But deep down inside your rotting flesh there’s nothing you feel
Long after you should have died you continue your pointless march
The neck the last vestige of life is burning and parched
How much longer can you hold to dead ideals
Before you realize it’s you that caused the pain that society feels
