A poem, by me, Timothy Lu.

Look at me and see,

No, I’m not the epitome of elegance,

Nor the poster-child of suavé,

And I couldn’t imagine being Sexy,

Handsome,

Or even just “cute”.

But these things you judge me by

Go only skin deep. You see not

My inner self, my heart, my soul.

You say that “Looks,

They don’t matter.”

When, in reality, you see all

Only on the skin of me.

No matter how open the soul may be,

All that you shall ever see,

Is that which is skin deep.
