Engish sonnet.

Hush now my child and wander off to sleep
Your mother doesn’t want to hear you cry
I doubt she even knows the reason why
So many turn from her and gently weep
This sacrifice so others could get by
Who knew how deep a change like this might creep
And what tomorrow’s children must now reap
These shadows of another person’s lie
Sleep now my child enjoy the quiet hush
For soon another mother will wear out
And you will have to rise and take her place
Sleep now my child so they won’t have to blush
As others who have mothers scream and shout
At those who are the cause of this disgrace
