I stare into the distant future with a star glazed stupor.

How did I fall for this lie?

With each moment passing by….

One, Two, Three,….

When did “I” become “we”?

Rewind……

Remember the time I tricked you into stealing candy as a child.

Oh how you drove your parents wild!!

Or how about as a teen, you skipped Sabbath school.

And forgot the golden rule

You could never catch me, for I am the father of lies

Conceived right before your eyes

I was destined to bring about your demise.

Why do you act like this was a surprise?

As a adult, you were my #1 fan

Caused all to join the “deceiver’s band”

Pause….

Was that really me doing the tootsie roll and 2 step last night at the club?

Fast Forward…

Now let’s stop playing games

Worshiping my name was your claim to fame

We were prefect for each other

No need for you to hide undercover.

I am your world to be!!

Won’t you just be like me?

Stop…

“For I am know the thoughts I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil…” Jer 29:11

Your future is the lake, you little snake!!

You are a eternal bake, that’s not my place to take!!

Stop…

“For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son… whosoever on him shall have everlasting life”. John 3:16

You tried to deceive, instead you should have believed!!

Christ saved me, why couldn’t you love Him like me?

Stop…

“I have come that they may have life and that they might have it more abundantly”

You lost your chance at life!!

No need for all this strife!!

I am now safe in my Father’s arms, no need for lucky charms

Get outta my bed NOW!!

Record…

I love you Lord and I always will!!

Forgive me for sleeping with the enemy!!

AMEN!!
