As I immersed myself in music and blocked the sunlight with my hood, scenes to a book began to play in my head. It took me away from reality, if only for a short while.
Reclining on the couch
White earphones blanket my ears
I press play relaxing to a
Symphony of sounds
Angelic voice soothes my being
Slithering my hood restraining the light
I shut my eyes
Dendrianna’s frozen stance, eyes looking around
Her curious expression fades to panic
Creatures scamper for shelter
The time draws near she fears
Paige doesn’t understand
She doesn’t believe her friend
Trail dirt escapes from her dark hand
Dust swirls between them
A vision at hand
The Dark Elf works her magic
Two worlds appear
Dancing around one of the other
Dendrianna searches the sky
Where once the moon played
Another world sits idle by
Paige now doubts what she did not believe
A prisoner he sits
In the distance Dendrianna calls to him
He can break his bonds
But he has been deceived
He does not believe
A haunting voice stirs on the dire air
Calling to him to summon strength
Calling to him to open his heart
She cannot do this alone
Trust in the one you do not know
You begged for salvation
This angel I sent to you
Immersed in my thoughts
I sit on the couch
Scene by scene
I slip from reality
Scene by scene
I flee from my plight
What has my world come to
Seeking solace hidden from the light
