A humorous poem about a humiliating chance encounter.
Uneventful day
Bored out of my mind
I hit the high street
Get jumped from behind
Somebody grabs my arm, tries to lock my wrist
I go light on one foot and counter twist
The trailing arm follows through
Ready to strike
With helmet in hand
From my motorbike
At 180 degrees, to my surprise
I don’t meet the gaze, of the culprit’s eyes
Did he sidestep so fast?
None faster than me!
I take a glance down
What do I see?
My nephew, 8 years old
Big smile on his face
Student fools master
Master disgraced.
