Feelings on why we die.

Smarter than you think

Hands together you ask why me

while others die across the see

feeling down you assign fault

take him  with a grain of salt

if he was there you ask

I wouldn’t have this deadly task

why is there pain

why must i die

You ask in vain

why must there be a last breath

who would I truly be

with out death

imagin the chaos

the disarray

the rift

without this precious

gift

Beautiful poem. I am amazed at how many people think that if God doesn’t fit their idea of what a God ought to be, then they won’t believe in Him – as if He would cease to exist because someone doesn’t believe that He does.

A god of our own making would be much too small to be worthy of worship.

I like this poem because it asks the difficult question that all religions try to answer: Why are we mortal? Death forces us to answer the question about what the point of life is. Without mortality, it would be less likely that we would have religion and by extension try to know God.

Very thought provoking. Loved that question: “who would we be without death”

The recognition that we are mortal and will die some day forces us to examine our lives and our pupose. What have we accomplished? Who have we helped? What kind of legacy will we leave behind? God’s ways are higher than our ways; and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. If, in His infinite wisdom, He has chosen that we must die, we need to understand that when our time comes, it is because we have fulfilled our purpose.

This was very nice, but I didn’t truly understand what you were trying to accomplish in this poem. But very good. Keep on writing! :)
