Yes, its those two old men in the pub again, Bill and Pete, remembering the good old days. Was there somthing their girlfriend didn’t tell them years ago?
“Hello Bill do you fancy another Pint of Stout,”
“Go on then Pete I will have one for the road.”
” I’m going to have a couple then catch some trout,”
“Well I might join you then when I drop my load.”
**************
“A load of what, ’ave you got to drop?”
“A load of turnips off for farmer Giles.”
“Aren’t you too old to go digging that crop?”
“Yes I suppose I am, but I remember those Piles.”
**************
“Yes but that was years ago when you were younger,”
“I can’t do as much now but deliver on the tractor.”
“but I got to admit the old fresh air has kept us stronger,”
“Aye, but my boy is only interested in becoming an actor.”
**************
“When we were young it was on the farm then off to war,”
“I got married to a girl called suzy, I knew how to treat girls then.”
“I never married but had a girl called Sue and a child of mine she bore.”
“Suzy had one on the way, we had one more now they are grown men.”
**************
“Did the boys look the same by any chance?”
“I never really noticed Pete, my eye sight is poor to be honest.”
“Well I lost touch with sue when I went to France.”
“I married Suzy when six months pregnant she looked at her best.”
*************
“Oh well, let’s go and do some fishing.”
“Yes, let me get my stick, tackle and fishing rod.”
“You still have half a pint that still needs finishing.”
“Funny that when we were younger, I would never need a prod.”
