This is a poem in honor of the many who had died on 9-11.

This is not about us today people

But, about people who lived not past this day

It is about those innocents that received

The loving touch of God

As He welcomed them

To their eternal happiness

It is we that should bear burden

Of honoring them, through love

Through prayers and many thoughts

Let us celebrate today, the many lives

That had gone before us, as they were special

They were integral parts of our lives and together

We now make them even greater parts of our future

Let their images haunt our minds in remembrance

And may they always be the reason we stop on this day

With many smiles up to heaven

We can assure them that their passing

Was not in vein, but the foundation of our beliefs

It is through them that we go on knowing there is hope

Because of them we came together and focus on tomorrows

Nine eleven may be a call for help, but will also be marked as

The day we were called together in remembrance

Used to be able to see the Twin Towers from my roof and from the hill up the road since I live in New Jersey. My GF\’s sister works for the Port Authority and was just entering the buildings when the 1st plane hit. She got out just like she did the first time they were attacked back in 1993.

Lovely, Michael. No matter how long or where we are, we will always remember those lost on that horrific day. What a tribute.
