Through blinded eyes

upon deaf ears

love escapes through tarnished years

how many have all the requirements

that their love needs

can this be shown via word or deed?

man is so demanding

in their needs

never satisfied by their deeds

love is like a smoldering flame

it needs to be kindled and tended to be lit
